The new Labour government needs to provide more support for SME's, according to accountants

Over half of accountants call for tax reforms to support SME's by lowering taxes for this important section of the UK economy.

56.1% of accountants surveyed said they believed lowering business taxes should be the government's top priority, while 53% said it should focus on cracking down on tax evasion/avoidance associated with larger businesses.

It would appear that this new Labour government are looking to increase the tax burden on many businesses up and down the UK. A good accountant supporting the SME's is more important than ever.
